The National 48 Hour Short Film Festival is a Canada-wide short film festival that aims to discover, cultivate and celebrate rising Canadian talent in film, music, aural and visual design, and the performing arts.
Participants will have 48-hours between January 6-8, 2023 to write, shoot, edit and submit a short film. Registered participants will be sent a key including the theme, shooting technique and editing technique that will need to be incorporated into their film.
All films completed will be screened and judged in advance of the screening on January 15, 2023 at the Capital Theatre. The top two films will go on to screen at the TIFF Bell Lightbox Theatre in Toronto in early 2023.
In preparation for The National 48 Hr Film Festival, all gear rentals must be submitted to equipment@wamp.ca by 3:00 pm on January 4, 2023, at the latest.
