Western Arctic Moving Pictures (WAMP) is holding its Annual General Meeting at the WAMP offices (4916-49th street) on January 16th, 6pm.
Refreshments provided. All memberships are to be renewed before the AGM in order to vote.

Dead North Registration Deadline: December 19, 2018
The world’s only circumpolar genre film festival is gearing up for it’s 7th year! If you have any ideas within the genres of horror, thriller, science fiction, or fantasy, the deadline for registration is December 19, 2018. There is an entry fee of $100 per adult team and $25 for a youth team.

Telefilm Canada’s Talent to Watch Production Program targets emerging Canadian talent, supporting them in the production and promotion of their first feature-length film, with an emphasis on the use of digital platforms for marketing, distribution and audience engagement.
Telefilm is offering up to $125,000 in non-repayable financial support for first features and web series and here is what you need to do:
To apply the Director needs to be a WAMP member in good standing, be a resident of the NWT and not have Directed a feature-length film before.
Applications are due to WAMP February 11, 2019. Each eligible application will be reviewed by a jury and one project for each component will be selected for recommendation to Telefilm Canada. Telefilm will make the final selection of successful projects.
WAMP is accepting applications for the ‘Main Component’ , ‘Aboriginal Component’ and ‘Official Language Minority Community’ (OLMC) components.
